I've only had this phone for a week now but I'm very happy with my phone! I was worried because I have Verizon as my carrier and a pre-paid plan as well and the reviews I kept seeing said it didn't work with Verizon or it did but nothing about whether they used it on a pre-paid plan. I called my carrier and asked them for the models that'd work with my plan (which I highly suggest everyone do before purchasing a phone like this) and I entered that information to find this phone. And it worked! The only down side I ran into is that this phone has a key (which is not provided with the purchase and really it's no big deal) to unlock the area where the SIM card and microSD card gets inserted. Luckily I got my phone before a Verizon store closed (and just barely...by minutes really) and had them open that area for me. The associate knew right away what I was talking about and opened it for me right away. From then on it was easy peasy.Once my new SIM card and microSD card was inserted, it was smooth sailing from there. I had no issues what so ever with connecting to my network right away. Luckily I had a Galaxy JV so I was able to use the Smart Switch app to transfer about 99% of my info from one phone to the other. Even certain settings got transferred over which was a pleasant surprise. The one big difference I've noticed about this phone versus my old phone is the battery life. On my last phone I had the settings so that my battery life lasted a good 2 days or more before I had to charge it again. And as a rule of thumb I will only charge my battery if my little icon goes red at about the 15% battery life or less no matter what! That has worked for me and my phones have always had great battery life because of that (I believe). However, with this phone I'm having to charge it about every day. At the moment I'm chalking it up to this phone have a HELLUVA lot of space and my last phone was running out of phone space constantly. Plus there are more apps...likely running all the time and in the background and my phone light settings being a bit brighter than I kept my last phone. I've recently learned where I can put my apps to sleep when they are not in use and with that small change my battery lasted about a day and a half before I had to charge it.So overall (and for the time being) my opinion is that this phone works great! It's worth the money I spent (and it hurt a bit to spend that much money because I'm careful with big purchases and for me this is a big purchase) and in another couple of years when this one finally goes kaput and it's time to upgrade I'll definitely get another phone from this seller (if they are still around). If you take anything away from my long spiel about this phone and you're thinking about purchasing a new phone from a third party on Amazon it should be this: get in touch with your carrier FIRST and ask what model phones are compatible with your plan! It makes all the difference and will give you less of a headache. Thanks for the great phone! Loving it so much!!This phone lost 1 star for the Samsung force-packaged gimmicks which cripple your phone (primarily Bixby), and lost the second star for being a flagship product which is less functional than it's predecessor due to marketing. My overall impression: The screen is nice and the phone is responsive. the speaker is loud enough, and people can hear me reasonably well. (if I have them on speaker and they make noise, they can't hear me as I talk due to sound cancellation) Bluetooth links up fairly reliably, and it uses USB C which is a faster data port, faster charging times, and seems less prone to damaging the charging port. (This was the Achilles heal in the S7) It also can charge wirelessly with any Qi charger.. I'm still using my same S6 Qi charger. The bad news is, primarily, Bixby. Samsung added their new proprietary voice recognition software, and shoved OK Google into the background making it so it can never again wake your phone from idle mode. (If you hit a button to wake your phone you can then OK google, but not when it's in resting state) You can use Bixby to wake your phone.. and you can use this as a workaround to use OK google... But Bixby is far inferior to OK google in my opinion (largely because it's commands for google Play Music are so weak, and it can't interface with a number of other programs), and there's no reason they made it so you can't use OK google anymore. Additionally, they added "Bixby Button" below the volume buttons. If you hit this button, your phone wakes up and starts taking voice commands. Bixby can unlock your phone, and I've found my phone blissfully wandering through the software repository as I carried on a conversation. This button also adds one more layer of confusion when trying to use your phone's buttons by feel, and if you hit the bixby button instead of volume, you'll be launched out of whatever you were doing into the bixby screen. Because the edges of the phone curve around, the phone also can not take a standard screen-protecting or water-proof case. While that's a neat feature, I certainly haven't noted any added benefit from it, and would rather have my $800 phone's screen well protected behind a waterproof case than have the added couple mm viewing space. (and off-screen swiping which I have mixed feelings about) The camera is fine. Both front and back take reasonable pictures. The software's pretty solid, and you can do some fun tinkering with them. There's lots of memory so you can store lots of video before it's an issue, and the memory's expandable. The phone features two impressive new security features; biometric, and eye retina recognition. The biometric fingerprint scanner is located right next to your primary, high resolution, camera lense. The software will also only store 4-5 fingerprints at a time, however, I have found that to get the scanner to work each time, I have to store several scans of a given finger. This means, from my perspective, that you can only store two fingers in the scanner. I went with my right and left index fingers as the scanner is too small for my thumbs. The phone is a little large to make hitting the biometric scanner convenient from all angles, however, you can feel fairly well it is from the lenses' divit, and it works fairly well. The other scanner works well in most lighting, and requires you hold the phone at a very specific distance from your face. You get a little customizable eye frame to help you figure out where that placement is. I have not tested either of these against attempts to break in to the device. The battery on this phone is pretty reasonable. It lasts at least a day after a full charge, and we're too charger happy of a world for more than that to be expected. There are a number of features on this phone which you are required to have a samsung account to use. The phone will repeatedly remind you about these features if you don't activate them, and it gets pretty annoying. Setting up a Samsung account was a hassle, though I forget why. I'm also not a fan of a third party forcing me to link my data to them under software licensing agreements which allow them to data mine my usage of my phone.Came earlier than expected. Looks and works like new. Came with Samsung charger. Really pleased.Essendo un prodotto Samsung è una garanzia. Arrivato in tempo e in perfette condizioni. Fin'ora nessun problema riscontrato.
