My other Galaxy S8 was all beat up so I bought this one. Usually the Amazon refurb'd phones and laptops are pretty decent. This one was just ok. No tool to take out the sim card tray. No manual or anything. They just threw it in a box and shipped it out. Seemed like it was an older model or one of the earlier S8's. My other one just seemed more modern in appearance. I only used this for a week or so and I already upgraded to an S10. This one did the job but it's hard to downgrade which I felt I did from my other S8. My S10 showed up and it has a good box with sim card tool-power cord and manual. Anyway I'd recommend an S8 but it just feels like it's old now. This thing does work ok. Battery isn't as good as the one in my first S8 which was also refurb'd from Amazon. But I didn't pay a ton of money so this is a good bet for someone on a budget.Phone arrived in a few days much quicker than the shipping estimation. It is blemish free and looks new, no marks of any kind. When I opened the tray for the SIM card it was cracked. It is very fragile by design so I don't fault the seller. I emailed them and received a response with in 30 minutes and they shipped out a new tray that arrived in two days. I snapped off the edge of my ATT Prepaid SIM card for my S4 to make it the smallest size and installed it into my new phone. It booted right up and after an easy set up it started downloading software updates. There wasn't a manual included so I googled S 8 manual and easily found it. So far everything is working perfectly, but I have a little learning curve since a few thing are different from my old phone. I am very happy with my purchase.Edit ...The charger that come with the phone isn't fast charging. I purchase a genuine Samsung 25w Superfast charger and fast charging is working perfectly.4/21/2020 Still working perfectly!!! Great value and I love to brag about it.The phone arrived as promised, except for that it was sent through USPS, which means I was dependent on the local mail carrier. So even though I was home the entire day, they left a note on the door and I had to wait to go get it from the post office on the following day. (We do not receive good service from USPS, so that was a downside.) Then once I had the phone, everything worked great.. until I received an incoming call... and I couldn't hear the caller. By this time I was on a business trip, since I left the morning after receiving the phone. I had to use ear buds with a mic to hear all incoming calls until I could get home. When I returned from my trip, I took my phone to AT & T, to see if there was something they could fix in the settings. But they confirmend the internal sound device was faulty. They also confirmed that the screen sensitivity was not good- I had wondered if all Galaxy 8 phones required extra pressure to type a text or email. So unfortunately I had to send the phone back, which was frustrating. I hoped the seller would send me a replacement phone- that actually worked... but when I called, I was told they could only refund my money. Thus I had to start over and fnd another phone. So frustrating! The phone is awesome the only problem is I didn't get the 8plus like I thought I bought. When the phone came and it was so small I really was very upset and I'm guessing you guys and Amazon won't do a thing to fix my problem!!Condition upon receipt good, came with just scratch in corner of screen. I tested all phone functions and they worked well upon receipt. I also had no problem activating @ AT& T. Phone also came with OS 9 Pie which was a nice bonus from Breed. I don't know how many charge cycles were left on the battery when I got the phone and this seems to be an important consideration. I think I then gave the phone average use. I charged the phone once a day. I had installed 3 Playstore Apps and I had tiny App files. I viewed a few You Tube clips daily, and my kept contacts on the phone. (I do not use games.)Samsung pushed a "security and camera" update on this phone and the battery fried. This phone would only vibrate, would not power on, despite reboot and power on methods. I spent over $250 for the phone and hoped I would get to use it for a year.I specially ordered this one because it's said at&t, but after I put screen protector and switch on the phone, it is T-mobile phone. It did arrive early and looks not bad but if I can't use it on my at&t network, it's useless. I hate return. I'm waiting for their response to see whether I can use it on at&t.Update from my early review. They have responded me that the phone is working on AT&T. I went to AT&T shop and got it sorted. The phone is working fine now. No problem so far. The only thing not as good as a new phone is that I didn't get the fast charger. They gave me a charger but not the original fast charger. I'm using my old wireless charger to charge it.(March 2020) Man, this phone is effin badass. I've had it for about a month now and it's still just as perfect as the day I got it, I'm definitely buying an S9 from yall next year lol thanks for the amazing deal and super nice phone. If I have time I'll post a picture if it :)(May 2021)Ok so I never had time to post a picture of it but honestly guys its exactly like the picture they have in the description. I'm updating this review bcuz I still have this phone more than a year later and it's still working great I definitely recommend buying it. I use mine with the Cricket service :)The only complaint i really could have is that it didnt come with the key to pop the sim card slot open, but i used a friend's, so it's fine. This phone's practically brand new. It's fast. It was tmobile when i first turned it on, but switched to att after i put the sim card in. Ill definitely recommend this to anyone needing a phone.
