Pricey, but worth it.Please do yourself a favor and follow the guidelines for battery conditioning, to get the maximum benefit from this product. If you're going to spend the money, carry the extra weight and deal with the bulk in your hand, it's worth it.Also, this is to confirm that I have tested NFC capabilities with the cover provided with the battery. It works very well - if you've enabled NFC on your phone (the I717 has all the necessary hardware, but AT&T has locked it out. To enable it, search the XDA.com forums, you'll find what I've found in order to enable NFC, and also bear in mind that it will require rooting). If you're going to use it with the Hyperion soft-like TPU cover, it's a bit of a tight fit, but it fits nonetheless, despite the Hyperion description saying otherwise. If you're willing to experiment and cut an opening for the pop-up stand of the battery cover, you'll have a stand as well (at $5 for the TPU cover, you can buy more than one, just in case) Excellent battery life. But with the battery being so huge you can forget finding a case on planet Earth. To fully support the phones they make batteries, for they need to either contract Otterbox or make their own cases similar to an Otterbox Defender.I use my phone for work and sometimes that requires being on board large vessels. One drop down a steel stairwell or on a steel deck and my phone is going to be a 500 piece puzzle. So to make sure I do not destroy my phone, I have to carry my Otterbox with me where ever I go , swap out my Mugen battery ,install the original and put my Otterbox Defender on my phone.I love my battery, but if you are rough on phones and want to protect it, this battery makes it hard to live with .I love my extended battery life now. My Note goes all day. I'm OK with the new thickness. The Note was already big so I have become accustomed to handling it differently. Making it 50% thicker did not affect things. I love the kickstand. The new back felt not as smoothly engineered as the original Samsung back but it does not fall out.I am disappointed now with the fact that I can't find a protective case for it. My kids frequently find my phone and my house primarily has hardwood floors. It's not so much a reflection on this product other than the idea that if you build something that prevents one product that people normally buy then offer a substitute.Wish I had gotten this first instead of the cheaper one which became defective in 6 months. the fit and feel of the back-case is terrific. the battery lasts a whole day, even using it!!!haven't had it 6 months yet, but if the battery is as good as the back, then I am a happy camperdo wish there was some way to make the battery use the whole back space and be thinner. and fit in regular charger stands.Yes this battery and case is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The case has zero play, and is durable. I have tried numerous extended batteries with cases for this Galaxy Note. And this is by far the best. So, I will be halting my search. I use my phone for work and it is constantly running. I can now go through a full day without charging my phone. I use multiple programs at once while using GPS (30 mins at a time twice a day), and the battery can handle it. With the original battery I would have to charge it twice a day for a couple hours each time. The kickstand is also sturdy and useful for movie watching. No complaints here.Sure you can go cheap, but that is what you get. Mugen Power are by far the best and most reliable cell phone extended batteries on the market. On my I717 Samsung Galaxy Note, not only did I receive a quality battery, but nice hard plastic full length battery cover with NFC antenna and kickstand. Performance is fantastic, 26 hours of hard use, movies, games, surfing, music, Pandora, etc. You name it my Note did it and was never worried about fully draining the battery. It is nice just to go out the door and not worry about where I am going to "plug in" my phone.Noble Planet was a pleasure to deal with, am pretty sure will be dealing with them again (wife's upgrade).Bought this battery, worked fine for a few months and suddenly did not want to charge. They sent me another one, actually on mail as I type this, will update this in future to see how it turned out, hopefully it was just a bad battery.UPDATE: Great Customer Service. Battery got here and works perfectly fine. Last long, charges quickly, no complaints. Highly recommend!Have had this for about a month now. Remember the first few charges will be short-but after that it seems to last all day.I'm on it constantly with my work too.
